‘Tis the season for reading Christmas stories, especially those quick, but oh-so-enjoyable novellas. To me they’re like lapping up a Hallmark Christmas movie marathon. But, you know, you don’t need to put them away with the Christmas decorations. They’re great for reading all year long, like The Yuletide Angel. (Yes, a strongly-worded hint and blatant self-promotion! 🙂 )
So here are a few I’ve enjoyed this year (in no particular order):
One Enchanted Christmas by Melissa Tagg – Contemporary Christian Romance — a laugh-out-loud read, especially great for the young adult. Heavy on the fun, light on the faith element.
Kissing Santa Nic by Tori Kayson – Contemporary Romance, also a lighthearted and fun read. Clean and romantic story between a firefighter and a cop. No faith element.
A Wreath of Snow by Liz Curtis Higgs – Historical Romance set in 1894 Scotland – This one is from 2012, but such a beautiful story of forgiveness.
The Christmas Bride Wore Boots by Terri Weldon – Contemporary Romance by one of my Seriously Write teammates. This is next on my to-read list and I’m looking forward to it.
