I hope your Christmas was merry. Now, it’s time to get down to the business of a new year and new starts. What are you most looking forward to in 2020?
“One Good Reason to Trust God with Unanswered Prayer” on Debbie W. Wilson’s blog is a great reminder that God’s timing is perfect, even when it’s not our timing.
One of my favorite parts of the Christmas Eve service is when we pass the light from one candle to another to illuminate our dark surroundings with the light of Christ. If you’re going through an experience and need that light to shine in your surroundings, I suggest reading “Through the Cracks” on the Joy Cottage blog.
Like me, do you love to look at book covers? Nadine Keels posted her “Favorite Covers 2019” on her blog. What are some of yours?
“In Conversation with ‘Little Women’ Producer Amy Pascal: “The Movie Is a Love Letter to the Book” on the BookBub blog is an interesting interview for those who have seen or will see the movie. If you have seen it, what are your thoughts?
“Writer’s Free Gym and Word Workout” on the Books In My Handbag blog is a post from September, but we’re getting into that season of self-reflection, goals, and changes. I thought it was appropriate…for me, anyway. 🙂
“Show, Don’t Tell: The 3 Most Misunderstood Words in a Writer’s Vocabulary” on the Writers in the Storm blog provides terrific examples of the differences between the two ways of writing and when you should use each of them.
I’ve spent a lot of time in the past few months revamping my website. I’m still tweaking it, so I found Janalyn Voight’s post “Make an Engaging Home Page At Your Author Website” insightful and thought-provoking as it pertains to my own site.
And what is a New Year’s celebration without fireworks? These shows welcomed in last year.
