Did It Start When You Were A Child? by Sandra Ardoin
I was reading about the recent death of children’s writer Barbara Park. She wrote the Junie B. Jones books. Although I’ve never read them (maybe my daughter has), they’re certainly familiar to me. One article I read said she credited Judy Blume with being her inspiration when it came to writing children’s humor. Anyway, it got me thinking about how so many of us discover our love for reading when we’re children.
I’m too old to remember specifics. 🙂
When my kids were small, I read mostly devotionals because that’s all I had time or energy to read. When I stopped working outside the home, I started devouring Dee Henderson’s books.
Ah, Dee Henderson’s O’Malley series…one of my favorites! And you are not old!! 🙂
Loved Dr. Seuss books and mysteries. Especially the Hardy Boys…
Ah, so it did start in childhood for you. 🙂 Thanks, Jennifer!
