High Five Friday!!

We’ve had some wonderful writing celebrations this month. Join me in congratulating these authors on their achievements. High Five!!, everyone!

Harry Wegley received an early Christmas gift—a two-book contract with Pelican Book Group (PBG) for their Harbourlight imprint. The contract is for books two and three of the Pure Genius Series, a high-action
romantic suspense/thriller series. Book One, Hide and Seek, releases from PBG February 1, 2013. Books two and three, On the Pineapple Express and Moon over Maalaea Bay, do not yet have release dates.

Eileen Rife also received contracts for two books. OakTara contracted her novel Laughing with Lily and a gift book, Wit and Wisdom from the Wee Ones. They will release in 2013 and 2014.

Mary Ellis is dancing this month because she learned Living in Harmony, the first book in her New Beginnings series won the 2012 Lime Award for Excellence in Amish Fiction.

Sally Chambers celebrates the news that her young adult suspense novel Stonekeeper finaled in ACFW’s First Impressions Contest, which is a contest judging the first five pages of a manuscript.

Jericha Kingston is joyous at also finaling the ACFW First Impressions Contest in the Historical Category.

Jen Uhlarik has had a great two months when it comes to contests. Last month she was on High Five Friday!! after finaling in the Phoenix Rattler Contest. This month, she finaled in the ACFW First Impressions Contest.

Maggie Brendan celebrates signing another three-book contract with her publisher Revell for a series entitled, Virtues and Vices of the Old West. The Arrangement releases in 2014, The Compromise in 2015 and The Commitment in 2016.

Janalyn Voigt rejoices that her novel DawnSinger, Book One of the Tales of Faeraven series, has been chosen by the ACFW Book Club as their reading selection for March.
