High-five Friday!!

November isn’t even over, but it’s been a fun and exciting month for Christian writers! In fact, they’ve been so busy and their accomplishments so numerous, another High-five Friday!! post will appear on Friday, December 3. Be sure to check back then to rejoice with a whole new list of happy authors.

In the meantime, the following people want to share some writing joy they have been blessed with this Thanksgiving season. 

Susan Page Davis is celebrating the November 1 release of her new novel, The Blacksmith’s Bravery. This is book 3 in her series, The Ladies’ Shooting Club, set in 1880s Idaho.  

Andrea Graham’s Tales of the Dim Knight releases from Splashdown books on November 22. She’s pleased to announce that this book has been endorsed by Jill Williamson, Christy-award winning author of By Darkness Hid. “A truly original premise, Tales of a Dim Knight is a light-hearted escape into the world of superheroes and villains with a thoughtful twist as to what matters most in life.”

Max Elliot Anderson’s short story, No Christmas Presents, is included in two, special, hardbound volumes of Chicken Soup for the Soul Christmas books. Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Gift of Christmas, will be sold exclusively in Wal-Mart and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Tales of Christmas can be found exclusively at Barnes & Noble. 

Gail Pallotta rejoices over the win of her excerpt from Love Turns the Tide in the Clash of The Titles Challenge. Love Turns the Tide is a Christian romance e-book with a bit of suspense. 

Marcia Laycock’s article, What to do with Teri has been published in Women’s Journey of Faith magazine in conjunction with their annual conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a featured author, Marcia was given a free pass to the conference and also took in the Speak Up with Confidence seminar with Carol Kent. The sequel to her novel, One Smooth Stone, will be released in 2011.  

Ann Gaylia O’Barr finished proofing the final text of her book Singing In Babylon, a Christian love story to be published by OakTara. While it’s at the printers, she’s busy fulfilling her contract for two more books. In Singing In Babylon, a young woman teaching English in Saudi Arabia meets a guilt-ridden journalist on the trail of illegal alien smugglers.   

Lena Nelson Dooley has worked diligently the past couple of months to finish the manuscript for her first Realms book, Book One in the McKenna’s Daughters series, Family Secrets. Her hard work paid off and she met her deadline!  

Julie L. Cannon is high-fiving!! Her book, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, was chosen as a “Top Pick for Fall 2010 Releases” by CBA Retailers and Resources magazine, and is 43rd on the Nielsen’s “Top 50 Inspirational Titles” for this month.

P.A.Baines is delighted to announce the recent publication of his debut novel Alpha Redemption. Since its release in September, Alpha has been receiving excellent reviews with it strong message of God’s redemptive plan for our lives. 

S. Dionne Moore celebrates a new contract for three historical romances set in Wyoming for the Heartsong Presents imprint, as well as the release of her second book in the Pennsylvania Historical Romance series, Promise of Yesterday 

Lauralee Bliss has contracted with Barbour Publishing for a Christmas novella to be released in 2011. Her novella, A Crossroad to Love, will be part of the Quaker Christmas collection. Also, the final installment of her Utah contemporary series, Wasatch Love, releases in December with Heartsong Presents.

Nike Chillemi has signed with Desert Breeze to publish three stand-alone historical suspense novels in her Sanctuary Point series. Set in 1946/47 on the Great South Bay of Long Island, NY, Burning Hearts debuts in May 2011, Goodbye Noel in December 2011, and Perilous Shadows in July 2012.
