In the Stack

by Sandra Ardoin

I had plans to do a review today—honestly—but the book I wanted to review didn’t work out and my reading time has been sketchy lately. You know, one of those “so many books, so little time” things.

So I thought I’d share some of those many books that are in my reading stack and ask what you’re reading. I also want to know why you pick some of the books you do. What about them appealed to you enough to add them to your stack?

At Bat:Inn At Oceans Edge Featured

I’m finishing Colleen Coble’s The Inn at Ocean’s Edge after reading Rosemary Cottage and Seagrass Pier. I read these for my own pleasure, not a required review. Who knows, you may see my take sometime down the road.

Do you ever get in a cycle of reading the same author’s work back-to-back?

Next Up (in no particular order):

Fire and Ice by Mary Connealy

Murder at the Courthouse by A. H. Gabhart

Anna’s Healing by Vannetta Chapman

Vendetta by Lisa Harris

Waiting in the Dugout (a partial roster, also in no particular order):

Swept Away by Mary Connealy

Agnes Hopper Shakes Up Sweetbriar by Carol Gutherie HeilmanPicture

Rules of Murder by Juliana Deering

A Lady in Defiance by Heather Blanton

A Father’s Prayer by Linda Rondeau

Out of the Storm by Jody Hedlund

It Had to be You by Susan May Warren

Fields of the Fatherless by Elaine Marie Cooper

Made to Last by Melissa Tagg

(I think the baseball references fit the beginning of fall and preparation for the World Series, don’t you?)

Your turn. Share your lists!

As an author of heartwarming historical and contemporary romance, Sandra Ardoin engages readers with page-turning stories of love and faith. Rarely out of reach of a book, she's also an armchair sports enthusiast, country music listener, and seldom says no to eating out.

Sandy, I got so excited about seeing my book in your “reading sack,” I forgot to add my list. These are books I plan to read soon: Falling For Chloe by D. Stearman & The Orphan Train by Christina Kline. Ones I have recently read include: Under the Silk Hibiscus by Alice Wisler, The Redemption of Caralynne Hayman by Carole Brown, & The Ticket by Debra Jeter, & The Miracle Man by Buck Storm.

Carol, I didn’t mean to shake you up like Agnes does Sweetbriar! 🙂 I’ve heard The Orphan Train is really good. Ugh! I don’t need another book in my stack! I do have some of the others you mentioned. One day!

🙂 I’m so glad to know someone’s list is overflowing like mine. Lol
I’m finishing up Luther and Katharina by Jody Hedlund and plan to start Murder at the Courthouse and hopefully Lynn Austin’s On this Foundation soon after.
Every few months, I try to make a point to collect all the books in a series and read them back to back. Otherwise, I normally don’t get to read from the same author back to back.
Let’s see…I have a HUGE collection of not-so-new releases that I’m wanting to read before the end of the year for various challenges that I entered on Goodreads. I have Lee Roddy’s Yesterday’s Shadows, Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden, and A Necessary Deception by Laurie Alice Eakes. There are a few others hiding on my kindle. Lol
