Seriously Write: I want to be an author. What should I do? by Melissa Ferguson

It seemed that the second I signed on the dotted line for my book deal last October, I was getting Facebook messages with this question…

Melissa Ferguson

Melissa Ferguson visits the Seriously Write blog today with a major tip for those who want to be published.

Do you have a favorite writer’s conference? What advantage did you discover that will cause you to return?

As an author of heartwarming historical and contemporary romance, Sandra Ardoin engages readers with page-turning stories of love and faith. Rarely out of reach of a book, she's also an armchair sports enthusiast, country music listener, and seldom says no to eating out.

I like the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference because it’s large and I can meet so many people there. I also like the Blue Lake Christian Writers retreat because it’s small and I get a lot of one-on-one time with industry leaders.

I’ve been to Blue Ridge (once) and enjoyed it. I haven’t heard of the other or been on a retreat. Glad you found them both of value, Jennifer, and the one-on-one time sounds priceless.
