High Five Friday!!

We’re celebrating this month with the following writers. And, as you will see below, sometimes our writing takes us in an interesting direction. High Five!! to everyone! It's a Time to Celebrate

Margaret Brownley was thrilled to learn her novel Gunpowder Tea earned a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly. “In the exquisitely intriguing finale to her Brides of Last Chance Ranch trilogy, Brownley blends faith and romance with a dash of mystery to serve up a cozy, fulfilling story set in the Arizona Territory of the 1890s . . . .This enchanting account of the hardships and wonders of the Old West features many delightful characters. The story stands on its own merits, independent of the first two in the series, drawing readers into a world that is difficult to leave.” Publishers Weekly Starred Review

Kelly Irvin signed a three-book contract with Zondervan for her Lone Star Amish series. The first book is The Beekeeper’s Son.

Maggie Brendan cheers over learning her novel Twice Promised is a 2013 Finalist for the Heart of Excellence Reader’s Choice Award. Winners will be announced in October.

Louise M. Gouge celebrates completing the first book in her new western series San Luis Valley Brides. This as-yet-unnamed book will be Louise’s eighth Love Inspired Historical and is set to release in June 2014.

Diane Tatum is excited to have received a new job as Adjunct Professor of English. She’s teaches two sections of Freshman Composition to dual-enrolled seniors at Tullahoma High School for Motlow State Community College. The classes run from 7:00-8:10 a.m., and she says, “I’m having a blast, partly because I taught about half of my classes in 7th grade, AND I’m home by 8:30 to spend the rest of the day writing.”

Where has your writing taken you this month? Celebrate with us and share your good writing news. If you’re not a writer (or are both reader and writer) and could give your favorite author encouragement, what would you say?

As an author of heartwarming historical and contemporary romance, Sandra Ardoin engages readers with page-turning stories of love and faith. Rarely out of reach of a book, she's also an armchair sports enthusiast, country music listener, and seldom says no to eating out.
