Billy Ray Matthias, son of the new preacher and Benny Freeman, daughter of an oil rich rancher find each other at a time both want to escape the shadows of their past. Billy Ray’s heart is open for love but Benny’s is coldly shut down.

Tulsa Oklahoma in the early 1920’s was rich with oil and dealing with an influx of money, increased crime and prohibition on alcohol. Tulsa was like two separate towns in one city…one Caucasian and one Negro. The strict segregation laws raised up Greenwood District as a prosperous black enclave termed the Negro Wall Street. Already tense race relations decline even more when ignited by a singular incident involving a Negro man and Caucasian woman. The events that follow spark a full-fledged riot of whites invading the district killing innocent people while looting and burning down Negro owned property. This devastating riot and their ill-fated romance are fused together in an emotional journey that will stay with you a long time.
