High Five Friday!!

Fall has arrived and brought with it a number of accomplishments being celebrated by writers. This is the day we dance with them. A High Five!! to everyone!

Kathy Ide celebrates receiving a contract from Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas for Proofreading Secrets of Best-Selling Authors. The book will release in January of 2014.

Darlene Franklin recently signed a three-book contract for her series called Maple Notch Days with Love Inspired/Heartsong. The contemporary romances complete the story of Maple Notch, Vermont, begun with Prodigal Patriot. The books will release in 2014-2015. Also, Darlene’s blog, My Daily Nibble, is the featured blog at the Write. Blog. Connect. blog for the month of September.

Gail Pallotta is excited to have her teen novel, Stopped Cold, come out in print books on Amazon after being released as an ebook in April. The Christian message, we don’t have to be number one for God to love us, is woven into a sports mystery with amateur sleuths reminiscent of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.

Shelley Adina, a Christy finalist, celebrates hitting #17 on the Kindle bestseller list with her four-book boxed set. The Magnificent Devices steampunk novels are “an immensely fun series with some excellent messages, a wonderful main character (one of my favourites in the genre) and a great sense of Victorian style and language that’s both fun and beautiful to read.”

Christina Tarabochia rejoices over the beginning of a new writing project. After a year-long hiatus from actually writing because she’s been so busy editing and becoming a publisher, Christina and her mother, Sherrie Ashcraft, have written the first words of their sequel to On the Threshold! She says, “A thousand words down, eighty-nine thousand more to go. :)”

Ane Mulligan celebrates signing her first contract—at the ACFW Conference, no less. It’s with Lighthouse Books of the Carolinas and for her novel, Chapel Springs Revival. She expects its release next year, but has no set date yet.

Susanne Dietze keeps pinching herself to be sure it’s true that she won the 2013 Genesis Award in the Historical Category for her novel One Word From You. It’s true, Susanne!

Alice J. Wisler is excited to have signed a contract with Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas for her WWII historical romance, Under the Silk Hibiscus. The tentative publication date is October 2014.

If you’ve recently received good news regarding your writing, tell us so we can celebrate with you!

As an author of heartwarming historical and contemporary romance, Sandra Ardoin engages readers with page-turning stories of love and faith. Rarely out of reach of a book, she's also an armchair sports enthusiast, country music listener, and seldom says no to eating out.
